Deeds Not Words: Women’s Suffrage

During this 100th anniversary year of the passage of the 19th Amendment granting Women’s Suffrage, we celebrate that white women gained the right to vote in 1920. Unfortunately, their sisters of color did not. Rev. Charlotte will tell us the rest of the women’s suffrage story, including the role of black women’s suffrage leaders, such as Francis Ellen Watkins Harper, a Unitarian.
