BRUU has become truly a home away from home; a place where I know I’m loved and valued and challenged. Since joining BRUU I’ve redone the Byer Memorial Library and read the Old and New Testaments, Qu’ran, Bhagavad Gita, Tao, Book of Mormon. (I may tackle some Sikh texts but boy they’re long!) I would never have felt inspired or able to do that if I didn’t have the religious curiosity fostered in me through BRUU.

I’ve also learned a thing or two about what leadership looks like; how to steer incredibly gifted, smart, and headstrong people towards a common goal. I’ve often said that if you get ten BRUUers together you’ll get twelve opinions; this makes our work here challenging but so stimulating and fulfilling.

More than anything, outside of my husband and family, BRUU is home.
