Building community – through conversations about substantive issues, working together on projects, and just having fun – is a priority at BRUU.   Most Unitarian Universalists are introverts, but we enjoy spending time together.  Check out our Upcoming Events.

After Sunday Services each Sunday, 10:00-11:00am, those attending via Zoom can gather in one or more breakout rooms.  Those attending in person typically migrate downstairs to enjoy coffee and snacks in the Fellowship Hall.  Guests are encouraged to grab a yellow mug, so we can make a special effort to include everyone in conversation.

BRUU’ers assemble on the first Friday of each month between April-December at the corner of Church and Main streets and take advantage of the city’s “First Friday” programming.  Different people schmooze for awhile sometime between 6:00-7:00pm, then take advantage of the entertainment and restaurants in downtown Manassas. (Look for the bubbles to find us.)

The Green Team helps organize a hike in the local area on the second Sunday of each month, from 1:00-3:00pm.

There is an annual Adult Retreat in the Fall, and a picnic every June.  Music is everywhere, and the garage band is actually pretty good.

Members of BRUU also gather for the many dinners, outdoor activities, and other events sold at the annual BRUU Auction.

BRUU has many groups of members who get together periodically to share common interests and fellowship.  Some groups form and fade away; others have had staying power.  The groups listed below are currently active.
