Children and Youth are always welcomed during our Worship hour. Staying with you in the sanctuary is a wonderful way to become familiar with the rituals of our faith and BRUU. Coloring pages, simple crafts and fidget items are available for anyone any age who enjoys a hands on task to calm distractions. If you need space to move, our Worship is livestreamed on a screen downstairs in Fellowship Hall.<\/p>\n

Religious Education (RE) for children and youth meets during the regular Worship hour. All begin in the sanctuary at 10:00 am for our Opening Rituals. Following the Time for All Ages, children and youth move to the Fellowship Hall for a moment of gathering and grounding before journeying to their age grouped classrooms. During multigenerational services, the children and youth remain in the sanctuary.

\nSenior Youth<\/strong> (ages 14 \u2013 18) meet on the third floor in Room 304.
\nSeekers<\/strong> (ages 11-13) meet in Room 208.
\nQuesters<\/strong> (ages 8-10) meet in Room 305.
\nExplorers<\/strong> (ages 4-7) meet on the Fellowship Hall level in Room 108, one door down from our Nursery care. Explorers must be \u201csigned out\u201d by a parent\/guardian in order to leave the room after their adventurers are complete.<\/p>\n

RE programs end on or around 11:15 am, and older children are permitted to meet their parents\/guardians freely.<\/p>\n

At BRUU, we strive to create a Beloved Community filled with compassion and wholeness. Religious Education offers opportunities based on Ethical growth \u2013 internalizing enduring values like justice, equity and compassion and Spiritual growth \u2013 feeling a connection with the sacred within, among and beyond us, with a special emphasis on building relationships and community. That Unitarian Universalism is a living, breathing faith created by those who are participating, our Religious Education program reflects the deep, ongoing work required to be with each other in welcoming community.<\/p>\n

Each age group enjoys activities which utilize music, arts & crafts, body movement, meditation & mindfulness; and offer growth through leadership, multiage fellowship & participation in the larger congregational community.<\/p>\n

Childcare is offered for children 3 years of age and under during the Sunday morning Worship. Our Nursery is located on the Fellowship Hall level in Room 106. Younger ones can be dropped off beginning 9:45 am each Sunday, in the care of our specially trained Child Care employees. Stories are read, music is played and activities are planned that reflect our Unitarian Universalist values. Children need to be picked up at 11:15 am. Nursery care is often offered at other congregational events, but please be sure to inquire on a case by case basis.<\/p>\n
