The Adult Life Enrichment (ALE) program offers adults and teens, including people who are not members of BRUU, a slate of courses, seminars, and workshops.<\/p>\n

Normally on the first Sunday of each month there is a Bible Discussion Group<\/a><\/strong>.\u00a0 We meet 9:00-9:45 am in the Flamingo Longe, in advance of the Sunday Service.\u00a0 For details, contact BDG@bruu.org<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n

Sangha Meditation Practice<\/strong><\/a> is 7:00-8:00pm on each Thursday night.\u00a0 Point of contact: sangha@bruu.org<\/strong>\u00a0<\/a><\/p>\n

The Quaker Friends meeting<\/a><\/strong> is each week on Wednesday night, 6:00-7:00pm.\u00a0 Contact:\u00a0music@bruu.org<\/strong>\u00a0<\/a> for more info and to let us know if you\u2019ll be attending.<\/p>\n

CUUPS<\/a> (Covenant of UU Pagans)<\/strong> typically meets on the third Sunday of each month at 11:30am.<\/p>\n

Summer 2026 ALE Sessions<\/strong><\/u><\/h3>\n

ALE sessions will be July 15 and August 12.\u00a0 Each evening will begin with a potluck salad supper (any type, with enough to share) in the Fellowship Hall. Arrive early\u00a0 – dining will begin promptly @ 6:15pm.\u00a0 Register and tell us what you’ll bring<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Data Centers & Our Communities<\/strong>
\nInsights on how data centers impact our environment, our communities, and our public health. There are misconceptions about the regulations in place, and the steps data centers have taken or plan to take to be responsible members of our communities. This session will shed light on current policy action in Virginia and how we can help make a difference.

\nCome Sing a Song (or not)<\/strong>
\nThe UUA has a brand-new hymnal, Sing Out Love. Our Music Director would like to share some of the new music, with interested congregants, not just Choir members.

BRUU Sanga Tools For Less Suffering<\/strong>
\nLearn how meditation, mindfulness and the teachings of Buddha may help you live with more ease and avoid \u201csuffering\u201d.\u00a0 A Sangha provides an opportunity to practice meditation, mindfulness and learn Buddhist teachings.\u00a0 Sangha also brings in teachings about yoga, breath work and neural plasticity. Attend this ALE session and practice using the tools mentioned.\u00a0 This could help you decide if you want to continue to practice these tools in community with the BRUU Sangha group, which gathers every Thursday at 7:00pm in the BRUU Flamingo Lounge.

CUUPS (Covenant of UU Pagans)<\/strong>
\nFor all who are pagan and pagan-curious, this class for you. From myths about witchcraft in media to how to perform magic in your own kitchen using ingredients from the grocery store. The BRUU CUUPS welcomes all who would like to take part in this ALE session, and potentially attend future gatherings.

SOUND BATH in the BRUU Studio<\/strong>
\nJoin an hour-long deeply immersive, meditative experience where participants lie down & “bathe in sound waves” vibrations.\u00a0 Instruments like crystal singing bowls and chimes are used to help quiet the mind, release physical tension, and promote profound relaxation and nervous system regulation.
